Meet the Writers Series: Hannah Tinti
The founding editor of “One Story” press will read from her new novel, “The Twelve Lives of Samuel Hawley.” Tinti’s short story collection “Animal Crackers” was a runner-up for the PEN/Hemingway award. Her first novel, “The Good Thief,” was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, recipient of the American Library Association’s Alex Award, winner of the The Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize, and winner of the Quality Paperback Book Club’s New Voices Award. Tinti is also a teacher and editor, and in 2011 became the literary commentator for NPR’s “Selected Shorts” program.

She is author of a short story collection “Animal Crackers,” and her debut novel, “The Good Thief.” Her new novel, “The Twelve Lives Of Samuel Hawley,” was published in March 2017. She is co-founder of the award winning small press, “One Story.” She teaches in the MFA programs at NYU and Columbia University.
