‘The Poetic Dream’ Cross-Genre Workshop with author Tzivia Gover
Saturday, Oct. 7, 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Barat House
Participants in this cross-genre workshop will mine their dreams for inspiration, drawing on the teachings of writers who plumb the depths of dreams and the subconscious such as Ray Bradbury, Brenda Ueland, Robert Olen Butler and the poems of writers from Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Langston Hughes, Lucille Clifton and more. Gover is the director of the Institute for Dream Studies and the author of Joy in Every Moment: Mindful Exercises for Waking to the Wonders of Ordinary Life. She has also published two memoirs, and many essays and poems.
This event is open to the public. A $20 donation is suggested.
Tzivia Gover is an author and director of the Institute for Dream Studies, where students learn to analyze their dreams and can earn a certificate in dream studies for personal enrichment or as a professional credential. Her most recent memoir is Learning In Mrs. Towne’s House, and she is the author of mindful mediation books including her most recent, Joy in Every Moment.
