Writing for TV and Film Workshop – All Levels
With Alana Sanko
Come learn about the ins and outs of writing for film and TV in today’s new age of indie films and binge-watching TV where there are more formats than ever to explore. The two-part (morning and afternoon) workshop will provide an overview of writing for film and TV, including idea generating, story structure, screenplay formatting and a review of resources invaluable to the writing process in this medium. Plus, students will have the opportunity to get feedback on pre-existing material. Don’t have any pre-existing material? Maybe it’s still in your head and not yet on the page. This is an opportunity to discuss that idea you can’t stop thinking about and to assess if it’s worthy of developing.  Get all of your questions answered by someone who has been on writing staffs, overseen writing staffs and pitched to networks at this one-day workshop with TV writer Alana Sanko, who will discuss the current creative and business side of television.
